If you're in the area, be sure to stop by this wonderful place--and it's free! Stop at the visitor center to learn a little about the history and ecology of the area. Then drive around to see the prairie dog towns which can be very entertaining right from your car. Many times you can see bison and horses, too.

Great place to drive through and explore. Try and see what you can see!

Beautiful. Lots of wildlife. Be sure to visit the prairie dog town. They are so fun to watch.

Be sure to find the parking area and walk down to Fort Falls. It's really worth the short walk. You can also continue a little further down the trail and get right to the river's edge with a nice view.

No words needed, its just beautiful. Be sure to spend some time with the prairie dogs, they are a hoot to watch. Look for elk and bison. Visit Fort Falls and walk the 0.9 loop.

I have always love this place as a kid. Unfortunately this visit was slightly disappointing. No buffalo or even deer. But definitely take the hike down to the falls, absolutely beautiful!
