Awesome place to stay.
Awesome campground! 3 bathrooms spread throughout the camp, 2 with showers. Camp store with beer, ice, food, etc. Launch ramp to get on the river for tubing, tanking, canoeing, and kayaking. Bus ride back to the campground when your done. Beautiful waterfall right across the river. National wildlife refuge about 3 miles away. Fellow campers like to party but still calm enough for families. Awesome experience, especially in Nebraska!
Great place 2 take a break
This is a great place to stop for lunch (bring your own picnic) if you're floating, canoeing, or kayaking down the river. They have shady picnic tables and primitive restrooms. We've never caught it open, but they also have a little snack bar nearby.
Well kept campsite right on the Niobrara. Located near the nature preserve, this camping area is probably the furthest spot upstream where you can get on the river with alcohol. There are a few outfitters that launch from this spot. Staff was very nice and helpful. They have two showers and a small convenience store that sells beer.
