They only let you camp there if you also rent their gear. We have our own canoes and gear but thought it would be good to camp in that spot. After portaging by Rocky Ford Camp and driving by it on the way back, I realized we were better off not staying there. It's a big commercial operation and it looked kind of junky. Their are other mom and pop outfitters on the river who are nicer.

Third year camping and canoeing here and wouldn't go any where else. Always clean areas along with very friendly staff. We camp on the hill above the river, very scenic and love being able to hear the water all night long. Even if it storms while camping, you can't get mad as the atmosphere is wonderful.
Excellent time!! Staff is nice and very friendly and helpful. I will be back very soon. Looking forward to coming back.
