Our family has stayed at the guest cabins for two years in a row. The management is super friendly, the cabins are well appointed, comfortable and clean. The kayaking and tubing on the river is relaxing and fun, with a nice shuttle and help from the staff to get on and off the river. Heartland Elk Ranch is the only place I would stay when we go back to the Niobrara River! It is well suited for big groups or small, with a fishing pond and park like hangout area- perfect for family reunions. Give it a try!!
Great time tubing the Niobrara with Heartland Elk! Guides were very helpful and since we didnt get to our cabin until after midnight it was nice they left our cabin unlocked for us. The cabin itself was amazing and the craftmanship was top notch, I was wowed. There are tons of amazing views and even though I dont have kids there is plenty for them to do, We will be back next year!
