My family just recently visited the Lord Ranch and I couldn't be happier. It was a short drive south of Valentine which made getting back to town for our tubing trip a breeze. We got there in the afternoon and they were just finishing getting the cabins ready. The inside are about the same as a large hotel room, with a mini fridge and two burner cook top also a full size table. The outside is amazing, the views on all directions can't be beat. The grass around the cabins is well maintained, everyone in my family was able to walk around bare foot which was great. Nice fire pit on the east end plenty of room for large groups as there were 12 of us there. I will give this advice bring lots and I mean LOTS of bug spray and yard fogger in the summer because the mosquitoes are very thick, to the point out drove us inside until they subsided. The owner of the ranch Dorothy was a delight, very friendly and accommodating but not over bearing and gives you plenty of space, but if you want she will sit and visit with you for hours. I will go back no doubt in my mind. This place is amazing
